Staying Missional As A Mom (Dad)

Last Sunday I drove the point home as forcefully as I could that the mission of God (missio Dei) is not something that leaves mothers behind with the kids while everyone else goes out and does the exciting stuff. Yes, there is the unavoidable dimension of caring for children, but this doesn’t exclude mothers from God’s mission – it just gives them a more focused mission field! (And I don’t mean just to her 2.5 kids). I stress that when it comes to the exciting opportunity to participate in God’s mission, mothers: YOU ARE NOT LEFT BEHIND.

So if you had the chance to hear Helen Lee talk last Sunday at Harvest Houston and it whet your appetite to hear more, to be challenged more to engage in mission locally where you are – then here are more ways to connect with her and also other like-minded “missional moms” who are doing it:

So stay connected, inspired, challenged. Remember; this stuff is not taught, it’s caught.
