A Hard Year in Retrospect…

– ended really, really well.

I’m sitting here in my new office on the last day of 2010 and honestly there were times I was so looking forward to this year ending. It was a toughie. While I’ll spare you the sob story, it turned out, in the end, miraculously hopeful. In surprising ways. We ended up in Texas – an unexpected turn of events – that has resulted in what I believe to be, just a great great, compatible pastor-congregational match. Experts liken these things to marriage, and I see solid foundations for lasting good. Yes, there are times I miss the Northwest / Bellingham, but there is also such a strong sense of Providence having led us here to Houston. Sent. We just never dreamed?!
